ABOUT US
America is at a critical moment as it relates to Sustainable Aviation Fuel. Despite the surge in domestic energy production and boost of energy exports, America risks falling behind our global competitors in producing this critically important source of American energy.
SAF is an American innovation, yet federal policies fall short of encouraging sufficient private sector investment and production in the U.S. This is detrimental to America’s farmers, energy producers, and rural economies. Working with Congress and the administration, we have an opportunity to unleash the power of American energy, agriculture, and innovation by enacting polices that expand the production, distribution, and consumption of SAF in the U.S., and assist in achieving energy dominance.
The SAF Coalition was formally established in 2024 to advocate for policies that will secure U.S. economic competitiveness, and increase production of American-made SAF.

WHAT WE SUPPORT
The SAF Coalition advocates for policies that:
Extend and enhance tax credits. Extending and enhancing tax credits can provide the certainty needed to spur private sector investment, and significantly scale the production of American-made SAF.
Embrace all feedstocks. American innovators have invented ways of creating jet fuel from plants, crops, waste, biomass, captures gases, and cooking oil, just to name a few. American policy should take an “all of the above” approach to feedstocks, and incentivize all their use towards producing SAF.
Cut red tape. From permitting to providing regulatory guidance, the federal government must incentivize investment, and expedite domestic production of SAF.
