Washington, D.C. — The SAF Coalition today welcomed the House Agriculture Committee’s bipartisan passage of the Farm, Food, and National Security Act of 2026, calling it an encouraging step forward for rural communities, American energy dominance, and the growing sustainable aviation fuel industry.

“Today’s vote is good news for rural America. This bill has always been about investing in the farmers, ranchers, and rural communities that feed and power our nation, and this legislation continues that tradition. As the SAF industry grows, American agriculture is poised to play a central role in that success, creating new markets for farmers and new economic opportunity across rural communities,” said Alison Graab, Executive Director of the SAF Coalition. “The SAF Coalition looks forward to continuing to work with Congress, in both chambers, to ensure the final legislation reflects the full potential of homegrown aviation fuel.”

The House Agriculture Committee passed the legislation by a bipartisan vote of 34–17 following more than 20 hours of markup. The bill now advances to the full House. The Senate Agriculture Committee has not yet announced a timeline for its version of the legislation.
