SAF Coalition Members Welcome Introduction of Senate Companion to the Securing America’s Fuels Act
Washington, DC – February 4, 2026 – Today, Senators Jerry Moran (R-Kan.), Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.), Joni Ernst (R-Iowa), and Catherine Cortez Masto (D-Nev.) introduced bipartisan legislation to strengthen and extend the Section 45Z clean fuel production tax credit. The Senate companion to the Securing America’s Fuels (SAF) Act would restore the full value of the sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) credit and extend the 45Z credit through 2033, providing long-term certainty needed to unlock private investment, expand domestic production, and strengthen U.S. energy leadership.
